This cookie cutter condo is a great example of a mix of refacing and remodeling. Just because you’re refacing it doesn’t mean you can’t change the existing layout. We removed the upper cabinets that blocked the view of the fireplace. We removed a wall next to the refrigerator and added a china hutch with glass doors. We added a new cabinet over the refrigerator with rollouts for better access. New drawer boxes and rollouts in the pantry made for easy opening and a new spice organizer made a small space more usable. The countertop, in a terra cotta color, along with backsplash in a Travertine gave this kitchen an elegant, italian feel. “We wanted an update and more usable space and you accomplished more than we ever envisioned. You managed to take it from an isolated place in our home to an open space that brought the whole upstairs together and made a more functional living space. And the extras are so user friendly.”
